So so sooooo good. Stopped in to have dinner with a friend before going to a concert at the Chase center. The music and art inside was very representative of Ethiopian culture. Service was efficient and timely, even tho it was the dinner rush. And the food was delicious. I practically licked the plate clean!

We ordered the veggie combo and the kifto (marinated spicy meat with a salad ). It's not huge portions but we were full. No leftovers The samosa appetizers ( half lentil half beef) were very good and has a great red salsa to dip them in They bring you refills of the bread (injera) The people working here seem sad, and move slow, lethargic

Delicious. The flavors are impressive. Each vegetable dish has a unique flavor. I ordered the vegetarian combination, a sampler plate of: Kik alicha wot - chickpeas cooked with mild turmeric, onions, garlic, and jalapeños Misir wot - spicy split lentil sauce made with berbere, onions, garlic, and ginger Gomen - fresh collard greens sautéed with onions, garlic, and jalapeños Alicha tikil gomen - fresh cabbage, potatoes, and carrots cooked with turmeric sauce of onions, garlic, and ginger Key sir wot - fresh beets and potatoes cooked with onions, tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeños Salad - green leaf lettuce salad with tomatoes, jalapeños, and onions topped with ayib cheese and buticha salad tossed in tadu's special house dressing I could eat here every day. Big, bright, clean place, nice location in Mission Bay and staff was very friendly.

I've never tried Ethiopian food, so I was excited to check this place out, and I'm so glad I did! The owners were super friendly. I ordered the vegetarian combo and the Sambussa. The Sambussa was delicious, not too oily, and the perfect amount of crisp. I also enjoyed the vegetarian platter, so I was able to try the different lentil based dishes they had with ineja. The restaurant was very casual, and it's a great place to meetup with friends! Overall, I loved the variety of vegetarian options, and enjoyed the food, I'll definitely be coming back.
